At the beginning of April, Dra Elena Xuriguera from the University of Barcelona – DIOMPA UB group had the pleasure of attending the Advanced Factories Fair held in Barcelona. Advanced Factories is an annual meeting that brings together the most innovative companies in industrial automation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), and software.

Although, the aim of the fair is quite different from the conferences and fairs at which the 4DBR project has been presented, the participation of the 4DBR in this fair made it possible to present the 3D bioprinting technology to a sector of society that is usually not familiar with it. This was an opportunity to open new doors and introduce innovative technology to the fair's attendees, which generated great interest and encouraged discussions about applications in biomedical research.

Attendance at Advanced Factories was a success, as it gave visibility to of the 3D bioprinting technology to a broad audience and generated new opportunities for collaboration and alliances.
