Deepshika Arasu was placed first at the Falling Walls Lab Paris.
Our colleague, Deepshika Arasu from Poietis, was placed first at the Falling Walls Lab Paris and therefore qualifies as one of the finalists at the Falling Walls Lab, which will take place in Berlin on November 7th.

Deepshika presented part of her work on the 4 Deep Brain Reconstruction (4DBR) project at the Falling Walls Lab in Paris, in September. Her presentation, titled "Breaking the wall of Huntington’s incurability" showcased the 4DBR (4-Deep Brain Reconstruction) objectives and the methodology employed in developing the project. Through this presentation, she introduced to a general audience an innovative approach aimed at reconstructing the brain to tailor the complexities of Huntington’s Disease.

It offers a global stage for breakthrough ideas, fostering collaboration and innovation across a wide range of fields, from science and technology to the humanities and social sciences.

Deepshika's pitch in Paris was well-received for its clarity and visual appeal, utilizing simplified and colourful representations that made the scientific content accessible to a broad audience. She avoided unfamiliar words or technical terms, delivering a clear and simple speech, ensuring that the message was understood by the public and the jury.

In the Falling Walls Lab Paris edition, 6 doctoral students, young professionals, and researchers from all of France were selected and invited to Paris to pitch their project ideas based on an online application. The competition provided a unique opportunity for these emerging innovators to showcase their ideas and exchange insights with peers and experts.

The Final Falling Walls Lab will take place in Berlin on November 7th where the finalists from around the world will meet to present their projects.
